Statement of Appreciation Regarding the Expulsion of the Iranian Ambassador from Australia
The Ahwazi Human Rights Organization in Sydney, Australia, expresses its sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Australian Government for its courageous decision to expel the Iranian Ambassador, following the regime’s involvement in two serious incidents described as “antisemitic.”
This wise decision represents an important step in confronting Iran’s destructive policies that threaten international peace and security, while reaffirming Australia’s commitment to the principles of justice and human rights.
While we highly commend this responsible stance, we emphasize that Iran’s activities abroad are not limited to diplomacy, but rely heavily on a wide network of centers, institutions, and entities directly or indirectly controlled by the Iranian regime. These structures are systematically exploited as hubs for espionage and influence operations.
Therefore, the Ahwazi Human Rights Organization calls on the Australian Government to take the next decisive step: the closure of all Iranian regime-affiliated centers, institutions, and entities across Australia. This measure is necessary to protect Australian society from espionage and infiltration, and to safeguard the democratic values that Australia proudly upholds.
Confronting Iran’s destructive project is a shared responsibility, and the expulsion of the Iranian Ambassador paves the way for stronger measures to protect Australia’s security and its people, while standing in solidarity with the oppressed nations under Iran’s regime — foremost among them, the Ahwazi Arab people.
