Ahwazi Human Rights Association – Sydney, Australia
The Ahwazi Human Rights Association in Sydney, Australia, expresses its sincere thanks and appreciation to the Australian government for its courageous decision to expel the Iranian ambassador from Australian territory, against the backdrop of the Iranian regime's involvement in two serious acts described as "anti-Semitic."
This wise decision represents an important step in confronting Iran's subversive policies that threaten international peace and security, while also affirming Australia's commitment to the principles of justice and human rights.
While we appreciate this responsible stance, we emphasize that Iranian activities abroad are not limited to diplomatic work alone, but rather rely primarily on networks of centers, institutions, and entities directly or indirectly managed by the Iranian regime and exploited as dens of espionage and systematic influence in societies.
Accordingly, the Ahwazi Human Rights Association calls on the Australian government to take the next decisive step: closing all centers, institutions, and entities affiliated with the Iranian regime throughout Australia. This will protect Australian society from security breaches and espionage, and support the democratic values of which Australia is proud.
Confronting Iran's subversive agenda is a shared responsibility, and the decision to expel the Iranian ambassador paves the way for more decisive action to protect the security of Australia and its people, and to stand with peoples oppressed by the Iranian regime, foremost among them the Arab Ahwazi people.
